I feel like Picasso with my new brushes.

I've finally decided that now was the time to purchase some new makeup brushes. I think I've had the ones I'm currently using for about three years now and I know that doesn't seem like that much time, but with daily makeup application, they can start to get yucky. Even with cleaning them, they don't always get back to their original condition.

Beauty gurus, Sam and Nic Chapman, helped design Real Technique brushes and they have been getting quite the good review. So I've joined in on the fun and made a purchase for myself!! And once you see the pricing that I'll list below, you'll first want to pick your jaw up from the floor, but then you can be like me and get some for yourself.

From left to right: Powder brush, Expert Face brush (I got it for free!), Blush brush, Setting brush, Shading brush, and the Starter set (includes a deluxe crease brush, a base shadow brush, accent brush, brow brush, and fine liner brush)

POWDER BRUSH | $10.00

First of all, new brushes are always fun to play with because they don't have any buildup within the bristles and they're just so soft to the touch. Brushes like this one smooth out your skin with just a couple of rounded swipes to your face. Bada-bing, bada-boom!

EXPERT FACE BRUSH | $9.00

Real Techniques had a sale when I purchased these that when you spend $50 or more, you get this brush for free. Count me in!! The firm bristles are there to help apply cream or liquid foundation and to blend it out beautifully. My old one was getting gunky and wouldn't clean out 100% so I tossed it and replaced it with this one.

BLUSH BRUSH | $9.00

There's really no explanation needed for why a blush brush is listed other than my other one crapped out on me recently. This brush was a necessity for me. I've always used blush brushes with shorter bristles and angled so I'm curious as to how this one will apply since it's rounder and fluffier.

SETTING BRUSH | $8.00

This was the brush that I didn't already have in my collection and it made perfect sense to add it to my cart. This brush is used for the final setting touches of your makeup. I was used to adding highlighter on with my fingers but this brush will do that for me beautifully.

SHADING BRUSH | $6.00

I'm used to shading brushes with longer bristles but I really like that this one is shorter. It will allow me to apply the perfect V in my outer corner without much effort. I'm also interested to see how sharp of a crease I can create with different eye shadows.

STARTER SET | $18.00

This set has all you need to get amazing eye definition. My favorite is probably the accent brush because it can be used in many ways. I can use it to apply shadow to my lower lash line, I can use it to highlight under my brow, I can even use it to contour down the bridge of my nose! The other brushes are equally important in this set and I know I'll get great use out of them all.

Me likey. All of these brushes are seriously a new favorite of mine. And the gorgeous metallic colors are just begging to be displayed on your counter in clear glass containers. Please tell me you have at least one of these brushes in your makeup collection already! Which one is your favorite? Is there another similar brand of brushes that you think I should know about? Comment below and let's chat!
